THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
HEAVY LOADS …
JOHN 16:33: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulations (troubles); but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
HEBREWS 13:5,6,8: Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” JESUS CHRIST IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVER.”
Lord Jesus, no one understands a heavy load better than YOU; no one has ever borne heavier. I am trusting that YOU are up under this load I am currently carrying, and I pray that my Brothers and Sisters in Thee will know and trust the same promise we all have in YOU. Help us to understand that our primary purpose on this life’s journey, as a Child Of God, is to help others, to love expansively and to be Your hands and feet; Your words of advice and wisdom when opportunities present themselves to minister unto others or to comfort those in their grief. I seek Thy guidance in all of the days ahead, and I pray for Your love and comfort for all those who are trusting in God Almighty to ‘handle’ today and all of their tomorrows. Father God, give us so much wisdom and love that it leaks out of us and into others. I pray in Jesus’ Name. Thank You, Father; Thank You, Lord Jesus; Thank You, Holy Spirit. AMEN

“PUT YOUR HAND IN THE HAND”
(Donny Hathaway Lyrics)
Put your hand in the hand of the man who stilled the water; Put your hand in the hand of the man who calmed the sea. Take a look at yourself, and you can look at others differently; Put your hand in the hand of the man from Galilee.
Every time I look into the Holy Book, I wanna tremble,
When I read about the part where a carpenter cleared the temple; See those buyers and the sellers were no different fellas, Than what you and I profess to be; And it causes me shame to know that man is not what he should be. CHORUS
Hey, my Mama taught me how to pray before I reached the age of seven; When I’m down on my knees, hey, I’m close to heaven. My daddy lived his life with two kids and a wife, and you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do; But he showed me enough of what it takes to see you through.
This is what he used to tell me … CHORUS
