MARK 10: 51&52: So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.”

BEING SPECIFIC! For some time now, in my own life, I am being shown by the Holy Spirit as I spend time in God’s Word, that I have grown somewhat lax (lazy) in my prayers. This really hit me as I sat on my hardwood floor from another of the ‘falls’ that often happen as a result of the weakened and damaged peripheral nervous system from the Genetic Neurological Degenerative Disease/Disorder that I have; resulting in weakened and atrophied muscles and a weakened immune system. I hit that ‘hard wood floor’ on both knees and it threw my body forward. I had my phone in my hand and it went flying, but it wasn’t damaged. However, my wrist was slightly sprained as was my left ankle. From a prior fall, at work, on concrete which caused a lot of damage to one knee; I knew that the force of these falls could often cause blood clots. My left knee, yesterday, was really hurting; a knot about a ½” wide and 1.5” long popped up right below the knee cap. A rather large area around the knee begin to turn in color. I had tears in my eyes and covered my knee area with my hand. I started asking Jesus to “Help Me, Please”. Instantly, very clearly, I heard within my Spirit, “What do you want Me to do for you?”

Immediately, I began to tell Jesus what I needed and wanted Him to do for me right then and right there on that hard floor. I asked Him to stop any potential swelling, bruising, pain, and blood clot. I also asked Him to stop the pain in my left ankle so I could get to the bedroom that is carpeted and pull myself up. But I never asked Him to take the pain from my sprained left wrist. Within minutes the knot was gone, the bruising had vanished in the knee area, all swelling was gone in the knee and ankle areas, and the only place I had pain was ‘in my left wrist”. I scooted to the bedroom and got myself up; thanking God for His Instant Touch Of Healing for my leg and ankle, in Christ Jesus. My wrist was starting to swell and hurt so I went to the kitchen to get ice for it. The Voice in my Spirit spoke again, “Why didn’t you ask Me to heal your wrist, too?” Quickly I asked for forgiveness and asked Jesus to please heal my wrist for me … HE DID!

GOD DOES HAVE A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR! As I was praising God and thanking Him for healing me; I started laughing out loud. HE had gotten my attention with this episode! We can always pray for our needs, or the needs of another, in general IF we don’t truly know what or how to pray about the matter. YES, GOD ALREADY KNOWS THE NEED, but we are a Member of His Family and HE wants us to take the time to Spend Time With Him and to Talk To Him. We, as parents or friends, don’t enjoy always being taken for granted … Well, we shouldn’t take God for granted either!

Heavenly Father, help each of us to make the effort to spend time with You in all things and for all seasons. Help us, Your Beloved Children, to never take You for granted in our lives. Our prayers don’t have to be long and full of big words, but we do need to honor You in our requests. Lord Jesus, I love You so and want You with me always. I am so grateful, Holy Spirit, for Your Presence in my life and for all the many ways that you guide and comfort me. TODAY GOD … I just want to BLESS YOU and to HONOR YOU! AMEN
